Victor Welch
Paintings reproduced as plates in books and journals (including Trains Annual) and some posters. The majority are referred to as being water colours, although there is also reference to gouache. It is at least possible that Welch woeked for the Locomotive Publishing Company and later Ian Allan, but Nock's Scottish Railways makes no mention of any involvement of any organization other than the publisher Nelson who may have retained the originals of the artwork. Scottish Railways and the two Edward Everard publications enjoyed good quality paper for the artwork which was rather skimped in the Nock book on the North Eastern.
