Newcomen scam

When sorting through some ancient Xerox copies I [Kevin] came upon the appended Xerox copy which I had made (probably with another) from the former Transactions of the Newcomen Society presumably made with the intension of improving the relevant STEAMINDEX page at some future date. Once upon a cybernetic time when t he Internet was a venue for the exchange of information, rather than the current shopping mall (see rugby) it would have been simple to verify this text: now it is impossible unless I travel to the wisma kampong of Norwich where the hard copy of the serial is or was held. This would take at least half a day by train which arrives nowhere near the Millennium Library (imposing only in name) or rather more on the badly run free bus.
