London Underground by design. London: Penguin Books, 2013. 288pp.
There is something about London Transport which attracts excellence. There have been very few poor quality books, but many excellent ones, notably Sheila Taylor's Moving Metropolis, but this one surpasses that and within its proscribed limitations is superbly done. Thumbnail biographies are particularly good, although lack precise birth and death dates which are so useful for extending searches. Physical production quality is also excellent.
